Here’s what you need to know before visiting the United States of America as a first timer from United Arab Emirates!

“American Dreams”, a phrase that we know lies the equal rights and opportunities in America. This third most populous country in the world has indeed become a dream for many people to travel there. If you are planning your 2025 holiday to America as an UAE Resident, you need to know these requirements and steps to get your “american dreams” happen!

Visa Type

As an Emirate, you are required to apply for a USA visa.  You need to choose the right visa type that meets your intended visit, Tourist Visa (B-2) or  Business Visa (B-2): 

Tourist Visa (B-2)

You require this type Visa for visiting reasons such:

• Tourism
• Vacation (holiday)
• Visit friends or relatives
• Medical treatment
• Participate in social events hosted by fraternal, social, or service organizations
• Participate as amateurs in musical, sports, and similar events or contests, if you are not being paid for participating
• Enroll in a short recreational course of study, not for credit toward a degree (e.g. while you are on a vacation, you can enroll in a 3 day cooking class)

Business Visa (B-2): 

This type of visa is required for meetings, conferences, and other work related that has proof. 

• Consultation with business associates
• Attending a scientific, educational, professional, or business convention or conference
• Settle an estate
• Negotiation of a contract

Destination

America is a country that has many attractions to visit, either with your families or your spouse. You might have some places in mind that you wanted to visit in America. Choosing places to visit in America depends on our own preference. But other than that, you need to consider a few things such as time and budget. 

As a big country, America has a unique climate range, from humid to dry. You need to check out the weather and climate conditions in the area that you want to go. Because you might need different clothes. Your trip budget also would affect the places that you can go. Because you need to consider the  accommodation, attraction ticket and others. 

Accommodation 

While setting up your destination, you got to check the availability of the accommodation. Large Cities in America usually have more expensive prices, such as Los Angeles, New York, Boston and San Francisco. According to RoughGuides, typical hotel rates in big cities are $80, while in rural areas it is $45. Wherever you stay, you will be expected to pay up front. 

Transportation

Best way to travel between the towns is by bus and train. You might need to reduce the standards of America’s Public Transportation. However, if you are planning to go to a rural area, you might need to go by plane or rent a car. 

Society of America

America is a multicultural country, populated with diverse races, ethnic and religions. Beyond that, America is also a country that appreciates time. If you are having any appointment in America, make sure to come early and make it on time. America also has a tipping system, regarding the minimum wage of salaries,  you have to spare a budget to  give some tip to the restaurant.

Safe to Visit America in 2025?

Its political situation and their own  gun regulations made people wonder if it would be safe to travel to America. Despite that condition, what we see in the media is not always the same as the reality on the ground.  In general it is safe to visit and travel to the USA in 2025, just make sure you follow the US requirements for visit. Always be aware and cautious with the situation you are in, make sure to secure your own belongings and show respect to the locals during your visit.
