UAE Residents need to apply a visa to entry South Africa, make sure you note the requirements and procedure. 

Prepare for our traveling can be a fun process. But applying a visa can be overwhelming sometimes. If you are planning to travel to United States of America, you need to secure your visa. Because emiratis are required to apply for a USA visa.  

Preparation

Before applying, you need to choose the right visa type that meets your intended visit. Tourist Visa (B-2) for  Tourism, Visit friends or relatives and Business Visa (B-2): Consultation with business associates. These are required document to applying for a USA Visa:

1. Valid Passport

2. Confirmation Page of DS-160

3. Photo size 2×2 inch (5×5 cm)  with white background and taken within the last 6 months

4. If you are applying for F, M, and J visas, submit (if required) I-20 or DS-2019 and proof of SEVIS payment

5. If you are applying for H, L, or R visa, submit I-797 Approval Notice

Filling Visa Application

If your passport and other requirements documents are set, you are ready to submit the application. Applicants demand to submit the applications early to prevent potential delays. A Tourist Visa from the UAE typically takes between a few days and several weeks. Generally, you need to fill out the Online Non-immigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160. You need to answer all questions on the application form, make sure to not  leave blank spaces. If you do not know the answer, enter 'none.' Otherwise, you need to repeat the entire process, including scheduling an appointment. Schedule Appointment

You can use the Embassy's online Non-Immigrant Visa Appointment System to schedule an interview for a non-immigrant visa (NIV). Make sure you have the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form approval number. On your DS-160 application's proof page, it needs to be highlighted. Interviews are not required for the issuance or renewal of some visas. You can find out if an interview is necessary in your situation by looking over the details for the Interview Waiver/Visa Application or Renewal by Mail. 

Payment

You need to pay your required visa fee in order to continue with the appointment at the Embassy. The visa fee varies based on the type of visa for which the applicant is applying. Some visas, such as the L-1 and H-1B visas, may come with additional payments. In addition, if the Consular officer grants your visa, you may be required to pay a reciprocity charge if you are a citizen of a specific nation.

Interview

After scheduling an appointment, you have to go to the US Embassy in Dubai for the interview on the exact schedule date and time. Make sure to bring all of the documentation required. To get the type of visa you are requesting, you have to prove that you meet the requirements set by US law.  Most applicants have to go through an interview at the consulate to determine their ties to their home country and plans to return. During the interview with the consular officer, you will be expected to give digital fingerprint scans

Visa Approval 

When your visa is granted, the Embassy will notify you by phone or email when it is scheduled to be collected. Typically, applicants are able to collect their passport and visa at the Embassy at 9am on the next workday. If you are unable to attend, you can have someone else collect your passport and visa for you, but you have to provide a letter stating who your substitute is.

If a visa application is denied, the applicant needs to reapply with additional paperwork or clarification required. Reapplying with additional evidence or changes in circumstances may improve chances of approval.
